▶ General News: An Emerson College poll found that 39 percent feel that the news media is truthful. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange could have limited time left in the embassy he’s been hanging out in. Donald Trump has a leaky administration. Zero Hedge reports that a study by a British think tank, Reform, says that 90% of British civil service workers have jobs so pointless, they could easily be replaced by robots, saving the government around $8 billion per year. Trump promises some tax cuts.

▶ Economics: Dow closed up at 20,269 today… U.S. equities traded higher as a result. However, there are a lot of warning signs starting to show and quite a few high profile people starting to sound the alarm. Are people going to pay attention? Is a stock market crash going to happen soon? Financial Times reports that investors are piling into some of the riskiest bonds sold by US companies as they bet on President Donald Trump delivering on his promises of a stronger economy, lower taxes and less regulation. Money manager Peter Schiff says the economy is not near as good as you have been told.

▶ Global Issues: U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman, a California Democrat, said in a Capitol Hill hearing earlier this week that “We ought to have civil defense in this country.” Hamas commandos are leaving the Gaza Strip to join forces with ISIS in Egypt. Iran launched another missile Wednesday and warns of “dark days ahead”.
