▶ General News: Electors around the country are being harassed with a barrage of emails, phone calls and letters — and even death threats — in an effort to block Donald Trump from being voted in as president by the Electoral College on Monday. Celebrities are teaming up to beg Republicans in the Electoral College to vote against President-elect Donald Trump, pledging their “respect” for potential “heroes.”
▶ Economics: The rise you have seen in the stock market since Trump was elected will end sooner than later. I’m going to rant about this for a moment…
▶ Global Issues: China should plan to take Taiwan by force and make swift preparations for a military incursion, a Communist party-controlled newspaper has said. China signaled on Thursday that it had placed weapons on disputed South China Sea islands and would use them like a “slingshot” to repel threats, compounding an already tense relationship with the incoming Trump administration. Russian teens and even children as young as 10 are practicing wrestling, handling rifles, and learning about parachute jumps as they prepare for military service.
