On today’s podcast we’ll discuss the following:

▶ General News: The US gave up the internet. The military says it will pay for transgender surgery. Government emails show that federal agents persuaded police officers to scan license plates to gather information about gun-show customers. The Obama administration is moving to dismiss charges against an arms dealer it had accused of selling weapons that were destined for Libyan rebels because if they didn’t, it would cast additional scrutiny on Hillary Clinton’s private emails. A judge says that Hillary Clinton is allowed to have her privacy. Biden thinks Hillary will win the election, and Hillary says the Russians are hacking the election. A foreign PR firm was paid millions by the Pentagon to create fake terrorist videos. And guess what? The US ranks 15th on the “freedom scale”.

▶ Economics: The debt jumped $1.4 trillion in a year. Trends researcher Gerald Celente sees an “October surprise” coming for the economy, terror or war.

▶ Global Issues: The Obama administration is again considering air strikes against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al Assad. Russia is sending air defense missile systems and more fighter jets to Syria. Putin has suspended a treaty with Washington on cleaning up weapons-grade plutonium. Russia allowed North Korean nuclear researchers to work at Russian nuclear sites. Speaking of which, Russia just held a massive nuclear war exercise involving 40MILLION people. Meanwhile, China says that the United States and South Korea are destined to “pay the price” for their decision to deploy an advanced missile defense system which will inevitably prompt a “counter attack”. And just to stir the pot a little, military officials from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Britain are holding exercises in the South China Sea this month.
