▶ Economics: The national debt this year will jump to the highest level since 1950 relative to the size of the economy. Bank of America Merrill Lynch strategists are warning of “an elevated risk of correction.
▶ Global Issues: Kim Jong Un’s government threatened a nuclear strike against the US and South Korea if they showed any form of aggression as they stage joint maneuvers while at the same time, firing a submarine-based ballistic missile off the coast of South Korea – leaving the two countries on a war alert. China expresses their concern about the US exercises ahead of their own exercises next month. The State Department issued a warning on Monday urging U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to Iran because they would like to kidnap them and hold them for more ransom. And Joe Biden on Tuesday reaffirmed America’s determination to defend the Baltic nations of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia against any aggression from neighboring Russia.
