▶ Economics: Trader and entrepreneur Karl Denninger has a dire warning. Trump says he ‘got out’ of stock market. The U.S. Economy Grew Less-Than-Forecast. The stock market is making no sense for a lot of investors. Business Insider reports that it’s time to get worried about the US economy. The Wall Street Journal reports that the “Recovery Remains the Weakest of the Post-World War II Era”. Foreign Nations are dumping US securities. CBS MoneyWatch finally says what I’ve been saying.
▶ Global Issues: Analysts suggest that the Navy should double the number of American aircraft carrier strike groups operating in the Western Pacific to counter China. The US Marine Corps will move one of its amphibious expeditionary groups from the west coast of the United States to the Asia Pacific. The Chinese Navy held live-fire drills in the East China Sea. The Rand Corporation says the US can no longer be certain a war would develop as it expects, nor can it achieve a decisive victory once a war breaks out with China. Major Chinese state paper calls for a military strike on Australian ships that enter the South China Sea. ‘NATO HAS NO CHANCE’ Russia’s secret super submarine fleet could be unstoppable in World War III scenario, expert warns. And North Korea Declares War Against United States if Annual ‘War Games’ Go Ahead.
▶ Health: Overwhelming Evidence That Obamacare Caused Premiums To Increase Substantially. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois proposed increases from 23 to 45 percent. And Belgian study found exercise protected DNA from wear-and-tear.
