Major Causes of Death – What The Media Won’t Tell You

In light of some of the recent news about firearms and other major causes of death, I thought I would take a little bit to dig into some of the recent data and see what (if anything) has changed since last year. Referencing sources such as the FBI, the CDC, and peer reviewed journals; I have discovered a few things that have changed and a few things that have solidified my previous findings.

In light of what I have researched and discovered, and considering that most people learn visually, I took upon myself to put together an infographic that will help illustrate the dangers of firearms in a very convincing manner. The information provided is contrasted to all major causes of deaths in the United States so as to help the reader better gauge the potential threat that the firearm really provides.

The media has been telling us that firearms pose a serious and imminent threat. Comedians such as Amy Schumer feel it is necessary to include firearm safety advice into their act. With all this attention, I felt it was only prudent then to give the subject some serious and objective attention.

I hope that we can all learn something from what I have found and from what I have put together. If you find the information compelling, I hope that you do your American duty by passing this information along to others that might be just as concerned about the safety of our communities as you are. After all, this is our country and our safety is paramount – or so I have been told.

There is a lot of misinformation out there about firearm related deaths and other major causes of death. The irony is that this is often spread by those engaging in activities that are far more likely to kill. In this age of “alternative facts”, one has to wonder what “alternative” really is.
